SphereBio Cyto-Mine Chroma

This week we've hit another impressive milestone in the journey towards delivering new capabilities for the local health and life sciences ecosystem.

The team from SphereBio, Romina Durigon Sue Macauley Curtis Nicholson have been on-site to provide 3 days of training for our newly installed Cyto-Mine Chroma providing single cell screening using picodroplet technology. It has huge advantages for antibody discovery and cell line development cutting 2-3 months out of existing workflows. The chroma model comes with a compliment of 4 lasers allowing for multiple readouts to optimise target cell selection. Úna Herron Peter Smyth and Michael Johnston from the Future Medicines Institute were joined by colleagues from one of our Industry Partners Fusion Antibodies - Soosan Hadjialirezaei Olivier Touzelet Giulia Mignone Conor Breen.

The Sphere Bio Cyto-Mine Chroma at the Future Medicines Institute is the first installed in Ireland, the second in the UK and the third in Europe. We are very grateful for the outstanding expertise and support provided by SphereBio and excited to unlock the potential of this advanced technology.
