Global Health Connector’s Northern Ireland Ecosystem Gathering 2025

On 3 September 2025, we had the privilege of joining the Global Health Connector’s Northern Ireland Ecosystem Gathering in the iconic Banqueting Hall at Belfast City Hall, co-hosted with Belfast City Council.

The event brought together diverse stakeholders from government and research institutions to health tech innovators and academic leaders to explore how Northern Ireland is driving digital health advances with global relevance. Highlights included updates on One Health, Peace Plus, AI initiatives, community-driven mental health programmes, and smart city strategies presented by Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University, and others.

We were proud to see our director, Stephen, present on behalf of the Future Medicines Institute, sharing our journey and the impactful work we’ve delivered to date in advancing health innovation.

Thanks to ECHAlliance – The Global Health Connector, Belfast City Council, Queen’s University, Ulster University, and all partners for bringing this rich ecosystem together.

The road ahead for health, research, and innovation in Northern Ireland looks brighter than ever, especially when we connect locally and think globally.
