Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) visit to FMI

Following the conclusion of the recent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) Board meeting in Belfast, we were delighted to welcome members of their Executive Committee to the Future Medicines Institute. The visit showcased our interdisciplinary approach, where experts in biomedical research, chemical biology and data analytics work together to translate innovation into real-world health solutions.

Speaking at the FMI, at the conclusion of the MHRA’s two- day visit to Belfast, MHRA Chief Executive Lawrence Tallon said:

“Thank you to Professor Chris Scott and Dr Stephen Liggett at the Future Medicines Institute for giving us a flavour of the cutting-edge research taking place here. We wish them every success and we’ll be following their progress closely.

“The passion and determination of all the partners we’ve met here in Belfast has really shone through. We sincerely thank everyone for taking the time to engage with us, and we look forward to progressing conversations started here, to ensure our proactive approach to regulation supports health and economic priorities in Northern Ireland.”
