FMI at the British Society of Nanomedicine
At the recent British Society for Nanomedicine conference hosted at Riddell Hall, FMI Director Stephen Liggett joined a panel on The future of nanomedicine; what’s next?
With Professor Lewis Francis chairing, alongside fellow panellists Professors Steven Conlan and Raquel Petrilli Eloy and Dr Vishal Sharma, Stephen shared his insights on drug regulation, highlighting how the FMI is positioned to aid the development process and drive innovation in this dynamic field.
The panel sparked a truly engaging discussion on the technologies and platforms set to define nanomedicine’s future, and the conference was a fantastic reminder of the power of collaboration across the field.
In addition, we’re thrilled to congratulate Marwa Gharib, a PhD student from the Johnston Cancer Research Centre, for her recent poster prize at this year’s British Society for Nanomedicine annual meeting. Marwa’s work involving nanoparticle-based delivery of molecular glue degraders brings together expertise from both QUB’s Chemoproteomics Centre of Excellence and FMI, showcasing the benefits of strategic partnerships in advancing potential therapeutics.
Well done Marwa! We’re excited to see this project develop over the course of your studies!
